#IWD #ChooseToChallenge
“A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.
So let's all choose to challenge.
How will you help forge a gender-equal world?
Celebrate women's achievements. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.”
- International Women’s Day 2021
Seguro Project connects deeply with this year’s theme of International Women’s Day.
We are both humbled and inspired by the women in our lives who have encouraged, challenged, and pushed us to create the impact we want to see.
In honor of International Women’s Day today, we’d like to raise the voices of millions of women globally whose voices may have gone even quieter through the global pandemic.
For these women, lockdowns or stay-at-home orders means living in perilous environments that may include domestic violence. Domestic violence affects both women and men, though it disproportionately affects women and girls. 7 out of 10 people who experience domestic violence are women and girls [1]. The measurement of domestic violence is complex, however, one fact remains undisputed globally - domestic violence is underreported. Global estimates published by the World Health Organization, indicate that 35% of women worldwide have experienced domestic violence in their lifetime [2].
Seguro Project is focused on connecting these women to resources and supports, through our technology offerings. Seguro Project uses AI-powered chatbot technology to support and empower these women.
Today, Seguro Project joins #IWD2021 and pledges to take action for equality.
